Applications for Individual Visitor Admissions to
The Gardens at Highgrove House

You may apply to A.G. Carrick Ltd (“us”) for tickets for admission to those parts of The Gardens at Highgrove House (defined below) open to the public, subject to the following terms and conditions:

1. Definitions

In these Conditions the following words shall have the following meanings:

"Admission" means a ticket issued by us allowing you to visit The Gardens at Highgrove House on the date (if any) and at the time (if any) stated on the ticket;

"these Conditions" means these terms and conditions and the Conditions of Admission to The Gardens at Highgrove House;

"the Estate" means the areas of The Gardens at Highgrove House stated on the Admission (including its grounds and outbuildings) that are open to Visitors on the day of admission;

"Visitor(s)" means any holder(s) of a valid admission ticket.

2. Purchase of Admissions

2.1 You may apply for Admission tickets (for a maximum of 26 Visitors per application) by contacting the Ticket Sales & Information Office on 020 7766 7310 or from our website www.highgrovegardens.com

2.2 Our prices for Admission tickets may vary from year to year. Our current prices can be obtained from the Ticket Sales and Information Office on 020 7766 7310 or from our website www.highgrovesgardens.com. Children under the age of 5 are admitted free of charge and would advise that tours are not appropriate for children under 12 year.

2.3 You must provide full details of your debit/credit card with your on-line application for admission tickets. On receipt of your application, subject to availability, we will debit your debit/credit card and provide you with appropriate admission tickets by post.

2.4 Admission tickets purchased by you may be given by you to third parties as gifts but they may not, under any circumstances be re-sold or exchanged. Any resale or exchange of an admission ticket automatically renders it void and we may refuse entry to any person who we reasonably believe holds a resold admission ticket, without liability to pay compensation.

2.5 It is your responsibility or the Visitor's (if you are not the Visitor) to check that the admission ticket is correct and to ensure that you (or the Visitor) attend the Gardens on the appropriate day at the appropriate time as specified on the admission ticket. When visiting the Gardens you must comply with the Conditions of Admission to The Gardens at Highgrove House.

2.6 Admission tickets may only be changed, replaced or refunded at our absolute discretion. We do not normally change the time or date of admissions, give refunds or exchange admission tickets once they have been purchased. Risk of loss of an admission ticket passes to you upon purchase or postage by us (whichever is applicable). For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of this clause do not affect your legal rights.

2.7 Admission tickets may not under any circumstances be altered, defaced, overwritten or copied. Any admission ticket which has been so treated is automatically void and the Visitor holding it will not be admitted.

2.8 Your visit to the Highgrove will last approximately 31/2 hours, taking in the tour of the garden, restaurant and shop.

2.9 Some paths on the Estate are unmade, there are cobblestones on the Estate and there are no seating facilities in the garden. This should be borne in mind, especially if any members of your party have walking difficulties. Tours will continue in wet weather, and it is recommended that stout shoes and suitable clothing is worn.

2.10 Wheelchair users must bring a strong helper and notify us at the time of booking as our Health and Safety requirements limit the maximum number of wheelchair Visitors at any one time. Wheelchair users must bring their own equipment and ensure it is suitable for bumpy and unmade paths. Adverse weather conditions may restrict access to some areas of the garden for wheelchairs users and as such visitors may be required to use an alternative route. Wheelchair access is available to the restaurant and shop.

2.11 In the event of short notice closure of The Gardens at Highgrove House on your proposed visit date, we reserve the right to cancel and refund your booking, or where possible offer an alternative visit date.

2.12 Arrival time. We ask all visitors to arrive 15 minutes prior to their allotted ticket time.

2.13 We welcome guide and assistance dogs, otherwise dogs are not permitted on the Estate.

3. Security

3.1 All visitors must bring their admittance ticket and some form of photographic identification with them - ideally a passport or driving licence, bus pass (alternatively two utility bills).

3.2 Coach drivers must either stay with their vehicle or take a seat in the restaurant where they will be provided with complimentary tea and coffee.

3.3 Mobile phones are not permitted to be used anywhere on the Estate. Visitors should contact a member of staff in the event of needing to make a telephone call during their visit.

3.4 No photography, binoculars or any form of recording equipment are allowed on the Estate.

3.5 Smoking is strictly prohibited on the Estate.

4. Acceptance of Applications

All applications are made subject to these Conditions to the exclusion of any terms imposed by you.

5. Data Protection

We have notified the Information Commissioner under, and will process your data in accordance with, the Data Protection Act 1998. By sending us or our agents any messages or correspondence or by otherwise providing us or our agents with any personal data you consent to the processing of such personal data using databases and spreadsheets for the purpose of processing your application. This may involve our disclosing the personal data to regulatory bodies and/or third parties to enable any such processing to be carried out.

6. Miscellaneous

6.1 Except in respect of liability for death, personal injury or other liability caused by our negligence or that of our own employees, we exclude liability for loss or damage suffered as a result of your visit by you or by any Visitor or occurring to any items belonging to you or to any Visitor, which is not reasonably foreseeable. If we become liable, our liability to you is limited to the price of the relevant Visit Admission(s).

6.2 We will not be liable for any breaches or delays arising from any event outside our control, including (but not limited to) fire, flood, storm, strikes, riots, civil commotion, national disaster, war or acts of governmental or parliamentary authority.

6.3 The visit admission ticket is personal to you and may not be assigned, transferred or resold in any manner whatsoever other than in accordance with these conditions.

6.4 These conditions apply to all visit admissions granted to you and supersede any earlier conditions and all terms and conditions applying to previous years. All other terms and conditions whether express or implied are hereby excluded. These conditions may not be waived or amended without our written consent.

7. Third party rights

These Conditions shall not be enforceable by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 by any person that is not a party to them.

8. On Line Security

We use encryption software in an attempt to keep the information provided by you secure. However, we cannot guarantee that any messages transmitted over the internet will not be corrupted or intercepted by a third party. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all liability (except where such liability arises from our negligence) for the integrity of any messages sent to or received from us.

9. Law

These Conditions shall be construed solely in accordance with the laws of England. Any disputes arising from these Conditions shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England.
