With over 40 years’ experience, plantswoman, horticulturalist and BBC One’s The One Show’s resident gardener, Christine Walkden, will look at suitable plants to attract a wide range of insects, animals and birds to your garden all year round.

Dine and Explore

Following your talk with Christine Walkden you’ll be led by one of HRH The Prince of Wales’s expert guides on a 75 minute garden tour, where you’ll learn about the history of the estate while taking in the key highlights of the gardens, including breathtaking displays of Spring bulbs.

After your tour, you’ll enjoy a glass of Highgrove Champagne and be seated in the beautiful setting of the Orchard Restaurant for afternoon tea freshly prepared by Highgrove’s resident chefs.

Programme:

  • 1:45pm Guests arrive, coffee is served
  • 2:00pm Talk by Christine Walkden
  • 3:00pm Garden tours (75 minutes)
  • 4:15pm Seated for afternoon tea with champagne
  • 5:00pm Afternoon tea guests depart

About Christine Walkden

Christine has been a horticulturist since the age of ten when she first obtained an allotment and started growing vegetables and flowers, which she sold to her school teachers and local residents. A past presenter on Gardeners’ World and the current resident gardener on BBC One’s The One Show, Christine is also a member of the BBC presenters' team which covers the RHS Chelsea and Hampton Court Flower Shows and a regular panellist on Radio 4’s Gardeners Question Time. As an author Christine has written a number of books including ‘A Year In Christine’s Garden – The Secret Diary of a Garden Lover’.

Event Ticket Delivery Information

Ticket Delivery times: we aim to deliver your tickets to mainland UK addresses, approximately 1 week before the event. Please ensure you have completed all your guest names prior to arriving at the event.

e-Tickets: If your ticket is an e-ticket this will be emailed to you when you place your order providing you have completed all guest names. However, if you have not completed all your guest names an email reminder will be sent.

Tracking: Posted tickets will usually need to be signed for at the delivery address. A tracking link will be sent with your email dispatch confirmation if applicable. We cannot pass additional delivery instructions to our carriers. If no one is available to sign for your delivery (UK only) a card will be left and your order will be taken to your local Royal Mail Delivery Office for you to collect.
