Jacques Picard, a pioneer of sustainable practises in Champagne, has created a new, limited-edition Coronation Cuvée, exclusively for royal warrant holders Fortnum & Mason, from Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Noir fruit picked from their Montagne de Reims vineyards. The wine is rested on its lees for three years before release, allowing the delicate notes of brioche and citric fruit to evolve.
On the palate, the Coronation Champagne is lively, energetic, and fresh, with crisp citrus fruit flavours and notes of toasted brioche. The perfect celebratory glass to mark a momentous occasion in British history. Pair this tipple with goat's cheese, cured meats or shellfish.
This excellent wine is encased in a Fortnum & Mason Coronation Champagne gift box, making it a lovely present and a beautiful reminder of this special royal occasion.
