My Gardening Life - Through People, Plants and Places

Adam will share how he has come from a parks department apprenticeship to designing seven Chelsea gold-medal winning gardens. He’ll reveal his journey into the design world, from the inspiration he gained in his early years with Geoff Hamilton to becoming one of our most sought-after designers – as well as Gardeners’ World presenter and RHS ambassador for careers in horticulture, growing the next generation of gardeners.

In his talk, Adam will draw on his gold-medal winning Chelsea gardens as examples to guide you, step by step, through the key steps he takes in designing any garden, large or small. He will share his favourite sources of inspiration and reveal how he is drawing on all of his past in the current redesign of his own garden, as seen over the past two seasons on BBC2’s Gardeners’ World.

Dine and Explore

Following your talk with Adam Frost you’ll enjoy a glass of Highgrove Champagne served with delicious canapes, before being seated in the beautiful setting of the Orchard Restaurant for a two-course lunch, freshly prepared by the estate’s resident chefs. Head Gardener at Highgrove, Debs Goodenough, will join over coffee to talk about her role at the gardens, including the development of the estate over the last 38 years, and what to expect on your tour.

One of HRH The Prince of Wales’s expert garden guides will then lead you in groups on a 75 minute garden tour, where you’ll learn about the history of the estate while taking in the key highlights of the gardens, including breathtaking displays of Spring bulbs.
