Crafted in the shape of a traditional house, complete with a sloping roof, it is both an attractive and useful addition to your garden. Harmless and industrious, solitary bees are invaluable in pollinating flowers and fruit.
Made exclusively for Highgrove, our solitary bee house features a copper wooden panel on the front engraved with our name. The size of the holes in the hive is perfect for them to enter and lay their eggs. Position it in a sunny spot either on the ground or up to a height of 1.5 metres to entice bees inside. Wing nuts in the base allow you to carefully separate each tray. Do this after bee activity has ceased in autumn/winter to observe the individual cells the bees have made, and for easy cleaning, too.
