The Highgrove hedgehog home provides a safe retreat for hedgehogs. With its gently sloping roof and concealed internal entrance, it offers the perfect sanctuary for these wonderful wildlife friends. This design helps protect them from predators and promotes wildlife conservation. The hotel aims to help re-establish the declining hedgehog population by providing a secure shelter. Additionally, hedgehogs benefit gardeners by feeding on slugs and snails, offering a natural solution to pest control.
While it is cosy for the long winter months, the hedgehog home also features ventilation holes to facilitate airflow. The secure roof can be opened for inspection and cleaning, helping to keep the house cool in summer and warm in winter. The box can be used as a nesting site in spring and summer and as shelter from poor weather and predators until the hedgehogs enter hibernation in autumn and winter.
This hedgehog house is exclusively made for Highgrove from recycled cedar timber sourced from leftover materials from other manufacturing processes. The use of cedar wood ensures a long lifespan without the need for chemical preservatives. Over time, the hedgehog hotel will naturally age to a silver-grey colour, allowing it to blend seamlessly into the garden environment.

Introducing the Highgrove Swift Nest Box – a purpose-built sanctuary designed to welcome swifts back to your garden and support their declining populations.
As new homes are constructed quickly, traditional nesting sites for swifts, such as eaves and gables, are disappearing. The Highgrove Swift Box provides a vital alternative, featuring a sloping roof and an oval entrance tailored specifically for swifts. Install the box approximately 5 metres high on the side of your house, ideally at eaves level on a two-story home, ensuring a clear and direct flight path for these remarkable birds.
Swifts are sociable and often nest in groups, so if space allows, consider installing multiple boxes to encourage a thriving colony. Their presence will bring aerial displays and distinctive calls to your garden while also providing natural pest control by consuming large quantities of insects daily.
Crafted exclusively from recycled cedar timber, the Highgrove Swift Box is both sustainable and durable. The cedar, sourced from surplus materials, offers natural resistance to the elements, ensuring longevity without chemical preservatives. Over time, the box will weather to an elegant silver-grey, blending seamlessly into your garden setting.
The Highgrove Swift Nest Box supports wildlife, enhances your garden atmosphere, and contributes to swift conservation. It is a blend of thoughtful design, environmental responsibility, and practical garden charm.
