Additionally, hedgehogs benefit gardeners by feeding on slugs and snails, offering a natural solution to pest control.

While it is cosy for the long winter months, the hedgehog home also features ventilation holes to facilitate airflow. The secure roof can be opened for inspection and cleaning, helping to keep the house cool in summer and warm in winter. The box can be used as a nesting site in spring and summer and as shelter from poor weather and predators until the hedgehogs enter hibernation in autumn and winter. 

This hedgehog house is exclusively made for Highgrove from recycled cedar timber sourced from leftover materials from other manufacturing processes. The use of cedar wood ensures a long lifespan without the need for chemical preservatives. Over time, the hedgehog hotel will naturally age to a silver-grey colour, allowing it to blend seamlessly into the garden environment.
