Coronavirus statement

29/06/2020 | 10:06

Following guidance issued by the Government and Department of Health and Social Care - GOV.UK, and in the best interest of our guests, we have made the decision to close the Royal Gardens at Highgrove until at least the end of July 2020.

We know that many people, from all over the UK and abroad, look forward to visiting the Royal Gardens at Highgrove. However, the health and safety of our visitors and our employees must remain of paramount importance.

We are communicating with all customers that have booked tickets for Spring Walks, Garden Tours and the Talking Gardens event.

  • All customers with pre-booked tickets for Spring Walks will be automatically refunded in full within 28 days.

  • For customers that have booked Talking Gardens all tickets remain valid and this event will be re-scheduled for later in the year – customers will be contacted.

  • For customers that have booked Garden Tours, including Champagne Tea Tours, during May, June and July

    - If you have paid by credit or debit card you will be automatically refunded on 15th June. Please allow up to 28 days for this refund to be processed into your bank account. If you paid for your ticket using cheque, please e-mail us at highgrove@rct.uk including your booking reference number. Your refund may take longer than usual considering the volume of requests we are currently processing. Thank you in advance for your patience.

    - If you have paid using vouchers please e-mail highgrove@rct.uk in order to receive replacement voucher codes. Within the e-mail please include the name under which the booking was made along with the transaction number. These new codes will allow you to book for a date later in 2020 or for a tour in 2021.

  • At this time we will not consider refunds for visit dates after 1 August, but closer to that date we will refund those who may be unable to visit due to governmental restrictions on travel that are still in place or those who have been advised not to travel because of a medical condition.

Following updated guidance from the UK Government, the Tetbury shop has now re-opened but with reduced opening hours and new safety measures in place. Find out more >>

We are continuing to carefully monitor the situation and follow the latest information and guidance and we will re-open as soon as possible, following Government recommendations.

We look forward to welcoming guests back to the Royal Gardens at Highgrove and thank you for your continued support and patience at this time.
