Meet the Maker - Lavenham

Time for a New Year wardrobe refresh with our new Tetbury Men’s Quilted Jacket and Sherston Men’s Quilted Gilet, created exclusively for Highgrove by country-attire specialists Lavenham.

Lavenham began fifty years ago when Mrs. Elliot, the founder, produced the world’s first nylon-quilted horse rug. Over the decades, while the original principle has remained the same, the company has transformed from producing equine accessories to high-quality, British-made outerwear.

Using the original quilting process, Lavenham creates jackets perfect for wearing in town or country, with its iconic diamond quilt, patch pockets, and cord collar offering a classic look.

Lavenham jackets are renowned for their durability and quality, with each piece being carefully made by the highly skilled staff who guide it through a 16-point production process and three inspections.

Since 1993, Lavenham has collaborated with notable brands, including Liberty and Kenzo. Now for Highgrove, they have incorporated the exclusive Prince of Wales check into the lining of their classic jackets.

Lavenham works closely with other British manufacturers to source the best-quality materials. Every jacket contains wadding sourced from the North of England and made from 65% recycled fibres, making them warm and eco-friendly. This is in keeping with Highgrove’s commitment to sourcing products manufactured in the UK wherever possible, made from the finest, most sustainable materials available.
