A beautiful miniature ceramic hare, made using the distinctive ‘Raku’ process by artist British Artist Paul Jenkins in the 'sitting' position.
Paul’s pieces are informed by observing animals in their natural habitat, thus creating ceramics that bring the beauty of nature into your home.
The Raku technique – an ancient firing process originating in Japan – lends each piece a unique quality and creates an interesting crackle effect on the glaze.
A pretty gift for nature lovers, this small-size hare can be displayed alone or with other hares in the collection.
Due to the hand-crafting of these delicate items, each piece is unique and may alter slightly to the one illustrated

‘Love of gardening is a seed once sown that never dies.’
So said Gertrude Jekyll, eminent British horticulturist, garden designer, craftswoman, photographer, writer and artist. And we at Highgrove agree wholeheartedly, which is why we’ve selected this charming garden or indoor decoration for your inspiration.
The leaf can be hung from a tree, fixed to a wall, or even grace your Christmas tree in the festive season, to be brought back outside again when the holiday is over.
Suitable for outdoor and indoor settings, the leaves are made in Oxfordshire of mild steel, with exterior grade powder coating. Over time, if used outside, there will eventually be rusting, which may be perceived as an attractive feature of ageing.

Self-sufficiency and organic living have never been more prominent and hen keeping is becoming increasingly popular. Part of a growing series of authoritative and inspirational titles, this book provides an introduction to some of the key aspects of aspiring to a self-sufficient lifestyle by keeping your own chickens and benefiting from the produce.
You don't need a large garden to keep poultry and an average family only needs a couple of hens to keep them well stocked in fresh eggs all year round. The set-up costs are minimal and you don't need a whole host of expensive gadgets or equipment to care for your chickens.
Packed with information on poultry keeping (housing, food and water, daily care, disease prevention and cure, encouraging egg production and breeding), there is also comprehensive information on breeds and a list of useful contacts should you need them.

The Hedgerow Handbook is the ultimate guide for nature lovers and foragers alike.
If there's one distinctive feature of the British countryside, it has to be the hedgerow. In fact, hedgerows are such an established part of our landscape that sometimes we take them for granted.
But take a closer look, and the diversity and variety of plant species that form them is little short of wondrous. And it is not only plant life that thrives in abundance in the hedgerow - native wild animals, birds and insects are protected and nourished by them. We know that at least 65 species of birds live in our hedgerows and that they are crucial to the survival of moths, bats and dormice.
From angelica to ash and bird cherry to borage, from pineapple weed to plantain and wild garlic to wimberries, each entry is accompanied by an exquisite full-colour illustration to help you identify each plant or flower, along with its history and folklore, and culinary and medicinal uses. You won't find yet another recipe for blackberry pie nor nettle soup here, however - this is not your run-of-the-mill hedgerow book.
