The Burberry x Highgrove Long Gabardine Car Coat is a long, classic-fit car coat in marsh green, finished with a detachable wool-cashmere warmer. Made for the fifth Burberry x Highgrove collection, created with Highgrove Gardens, it is a refined interpretation of a Burberry classic.

The collection is inspired by an original watercolour by His Majesty King Charles III depicting Birkhall, his much-loved retreat on the Balmoral estate. The painting's greens run through every piece, giving this timeless design a seasonal character that feels rooted in the land.

The coat is made in Yorkshire, England, from shower-resistant cotton gabardine. Its main fabric and body lining are 100% organically grown cotton. The signature style is tailored to a classic fit with set-in sleeves for a structured silhouette, and measures 104cm in size IT 48. The model is 188cm/6ft 2in and wears IT 48.
The design is deliberately understated. A neat, concealed closure with buffalo horn buttons keeps the front clean, while side welt pockets, button-tab cuffs and a back vent add practical detail without breaking the line. Lining the coat and undercollar is the matching check in cotton twill, in a bay green created exclusively for the collection.

The detachable wool-cashmere warmer is woven with the House Check in seasonal bay green and features an appliquéd Highgrove collection patch at the side, inspired by an original watercolour by His Majesty The King depicting Birkhall, his cherished Scottish home. It carries the spirit of the painting into the details of the coat.

Without the warmer, the coat is a refined layer over a suit or knitwear in spring and autumn. With it, the coat is ready for the coldest months. It is a piece made to be worn and kept for many seasons.

The coat fits true to size, so take your normal size. It arrives with a garment bag for careful storage between seasons. Specialist dry clean only.
