Directions to Highgrove Gardens by road.

Highgrove is situated southwest of Tetbury, off the A433, Bath to Tetbury and Cirencester road. Once you approach the area please use the directions below or download a copy of these directions with approach map. (A4, colour PDF).

Please note: you cannot visit Highgrove Gardens without holding a pre-booked ticket.

Satellite navigation: unfortunately no postcode takes you directly to the visitor entrance. Please use the village name 'Doughton' (Gloucestershire) in your sat nav and follow these directions as you approach the village:

APPROACHING FROM THE SOUTHWEST

  • Take the A46 and then the A433 towards Tetbury passing the Westonbirt Arboretum and "Hare and Hounds" Hotel on the left.
  • On nearing Doughton, pass a "concealed entrance" sign on the left-hand side.
    Immediately after the 30 mph speed restriction sign (a few metres) take the next small entrance on the left and keep left into the narrow walled lane, leaving the low buildings called "Street Farm Workshops" to your right.
  • Do not go into the workshops.
  • After 100 metres stop at the police checkpoint for identification and vehicle checks. Please have your identity document and invitation tickets (or guest list for group tours) to hand.

APPROACHING FROM TETBURY

  • From the centre of Tetbury turn southwards onto the A433 signed to Bath and Westonbirt (Pass Tetbury Parish Church on your left and follow the road over a viaduct). After two miles enter the village of Doughton.
  • Continue past the iron gates leading into Highgrove House (on your right) to where the high walls finish and the 30 mph speed restriction ends.
  • Immediately (a few metres) before the national speed limit signs (white circle with black diagonal stripe) turn right into a small entrance, and then keep left into the narrow walled lane, leaving the low buildings called "Street Farm Workshops" to your right.
  • Do not go into the workshops.
  • After 100 metres stop at the police checkpoint for identification and vehicle checks. Please have your identity document and invitation tickets (or guest list for group tours) to hand.
