Platinum Jubilee: Commemorating a historic occasion

A year-long Platinum Jubilee celebration will mark the Queen's historic reign in the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth, and across the world.

On February 6th, Her Majesty the Queen became the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth, and the Realms.

Throughout the year, events and initiatives will be held to commemorate this historic occasion, culminating in a four-day UK bank holiday weekend from Thursday, June 2nd to Sunday, June 5th. The bank holiday will allow communities and people all over the UK to come together to commemorate the historic occasion.

Highgrove Gardens has chosen a range of Platinum Jubilee products to commemorate this historic occasion, including the official Platinum Jubilee range from Royal Collections. Inspired by The Queen's purple Robe of Estate, which she wore at her Coronation, the gold embroidery on the robe is based on the border pattern, which includes olive branches and wheat ears to symbolise peace and prosperity.
