About Jules

Jules Goddard is the founder of The Plucky Pickle and Chief Culture Officer of The Fermenters Guild UK and Ireland. With more than 30 years of experience in fermentation and preserving, she has introduced over 1,500 people to the art of fermenting through her workshops and events.

Following a career producing international conferences and events for organisations including Informa and Thomson Reuters, Jules turned her passion for fermentation into a business in Manchester, supplying handcrafted ferments to delis and restaurants while teaching both public and professional masterclasses.

Inspired by her Italian Nonna's jars of homemade preserves, Jules is passionate about sharing the benefits of fermented food and drink. Her goal is to spread the love for fermented food and drink, demystify fermentation, and show you how easy it is to preserve seasonal, local produce and use it in your everyday cooking.
